Prof. Jorge Pullin presented a public lecture and a departmental colloquium at the Instituto de Física y Matemáticas Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo in Morelia, Mexico, as part of their celebrations of the 100 years since Einstein presented his general theory of relativity.

There will be a Enabling Process Innovation through Computation (EPIC) Seminar Series lecture titled, “Particulate Flow Across Multi-scales: Numerical Strategies for Momentum, Heat and Mass Transfer” by Anthony Wachs, University of British Columbia. The lecture will take place on Friday, November 20th at 3:30 PM in Patrick Taylor Hall 1106.
There will be a Coast to Cosmos Lecture Series lecture titled, “Attenuation of Hurricane-Generated Waves in Flooded Wetlands: Field Observations and Numerical Modeling” by Q. Jim Chen, Louisiana State University. The lecture will take place on Friday, December 4th at 12:00 PM in the Digital Media Center, Room 1034.
