Abstract: The shift to library-centric application design has shown significant advances since the advent of the C++ STL or the Java library collection. The effort of application development is thereby considerably reduced. Re-usability and orthogonality of the libraries is of utmost importance as well as an overall high performance. Up to now there is no comprehensive approach in the field of Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) due to the complex requirements arising from various discretization methods for partial differential equations, assembly of large equation systems, finite numerical treatment, and the requirement of high overall performance. Our investigation and research has shown that libraries can be extracted and implemented which greatly ease the design of applications as a whole.
